What happens now?
(Please note - if you're starting your connection with Amber at a new address then steps 1 and 2 below don't apply - we'll be in touch separately over email with more information.)
✅ 1. (You are here) Transferring you to Amber
Your transfer should occur within 2 business days of signing up. You will also have a 10-business day cooling off period (starting now) to reverse this transfer and switch back to your old retailer if you change your mind.
◻️ 2. Smart meter installation (you’ll skip this step if you already have one)
Though you’ll be our customer as soon as your transfer has been completed, we can’t pass through the 30-minute wholesale price of energy until your smart meter is installed. We skip this if you already have a smart meter.
◻️ 3. Get real-time prices and download the Amber Electric app
Once you’re up and running with a smart meter, you’ll be able to access Amber’s real-time wholesale price and view forecast prices in the app.
◻️ 4. Share Amber with your mates and get a discount off your next Amber bill
So if you’re buzzing with feel-good energy and want to refer Amber to your mates, download the Amber app to share your referral code (via the "settings" screen).
