Amber in the media
1 February 2024, Melbourne: Amber has finalised its oversubscribed Series C round, closing with $29m to scale the business in Australia and focus on the international expansion of their battery and EV automation technology.
Green electricity retailers say we wouldn't be in this mess if Australian governments had done more to invest in renewables over the past decade.

Amber customers with solar, electric vehicles or batteries at home have been drawn to its unique business model, which automates customers’ batteries to discharge around 6pm each day, earning them money as they pump much-needed renewable energy into the grid.
Another portfolio company that she highlighted is Amber Electric, which allows customers to automatically use electricity at times that the grid is powered by renewables, and is more affordable.
Adelaide resident Oscar Williams managed to save himself money by going green and signing up to energy provider Amber, which allowed him to just pay wholesale prices for a small cost of $15 each month for access to renewable energy.
